I think it distracted me from being able to give it Brothers of Horror Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger vintage shirt of my attention. It’s funny though. I didn’t have this happen at all when I initially saw the first one. I think the first one was better at meeting my expectations because instead of trying to emulate every little scene and plot point from book, it captured the essence of what makes the book so amazing in the first place. The adult cast perfectly portrays the original gang, gives stellar performances, and has chemistry that rivals the first crew. The fear is just as imaginative and the humor just as hysterical as the original. While this feels more like a conglomeration of big, horrifying set pieces than a cohesive story.

The movie’s ability to grip you with fear, laughter, and emotion more than makes up for its sporadic story. The IT franchise has set the bar for highly imaginative horror. It’s a mixed bag but easily enjoyed in spite of its flaws. I prefer Brothers of Horror Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger vintage shirt film but look forward to revisiting this one. Still better than the 1990 film. I do feel it will get better with my second viewing. The book is my absolute favorite. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I tried to. I really did. I’ve seen way worse movies, for sure. But my enthusiasm about Chapter 1 set me up for disappointment, I think. Funny enough, the chemistry of the adult cast is the biggest thing that kept tripping me up.

On their own the acting was great. But together it was meh. Its large mixture of horror and heartfelt doesn’t really help ‘IT’ in becoming any scarier, though the overall product is still sweet but creepy. With plenty of plot points to keep it intriguing and a variety of scenes from battling an evil clown to playing in a quarry with your friends, it’s plenty of fun. The directing is of a great quality and Brothers of Horror Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger vintage shirt shifting are thankfully missed, leaving me generally pleased when the credits roll. Unless you’re afraid of clowns, you’re likely to not find this film scary at all which is a bit disappointing, though they defiantly still succeed in making the clown and its actions creepy.
