He would sit there waiting for her to get almost close enough to pet him, then he would bounce a few feet away and sit again. Eventually, he would run between my legs and sit down behind me and she would end up practically bumping into me. I recall he brought me about 5 such ladies. He also loved it when I chased him. He would come up to me and run circles around me, jumping up in the air and kicking his rear legs out at the highest point. I knew what he wanted. I would chase him and he would delight in shifting direction, cutting back and generally making a joke of me.

When he was done being chased, or Don’t look at me that smell is comin’ from my dad shirt, he would just stop and let me pick him up. Some times he would run and hide under something until I passed him by and then come running out behind me suddenly. He also liked to taunt dogs to chase him, running up to them and startling them, then running away to make them chase him. He would bounce off things to suddenly change the direction that no dog could match. It seemed like he was making fun of them. If they stopped, he would run up into their face again, sometimes making them jerk back startled, to goad them into chasing him some more.
