Product Description

Katt Williams the pimp chronicles pt 1 shirt . If a drop of blood is sitting out where you could touch it, all of the virus in it will already be dead. HIV is one of the most fragile viruses we know about, and it dies immediately when exposed to air. That’s all of them right there. If you don’t do any of these things, you have zero risk of getting HIV and have no need to worry about it. Question: “Can I get HIV if I touched a small drop of HIV infected blood and then minutes later, I touched my eyes?” It’s possible, but fairly low risk. “[M]inutes later” sounds like enough time for the blood to have dried, and it’s unlikely that there will be much infectious virus at that point. Despite what another answer suggests, HIV doesn’t magically explode when there is air around — but it doesn’t survive on dried surfaces. HIV in blood is infectious even if the blood has been exposed to air. Contact of infected blood with the intact mucous membranes of the eyes isn’t that likely to result in infection, but the risk isn’t zero. If a nurse drawing blood on an HIV infected patient (not on suppressive ARV) had blood splash into an eye, we would typically recommend post-exposure prophylaxis. HIV transmission in the manner you talked of will only happen if the skin of the person you touched had blood and/or semen and/or anal mucous, and/or vaginal secretions, and/or pre-ejaculate, and/or blood products that had the HIV in them, that was/were recently put on the said skin. But, from what you’re saying, it sounds like it’s usual skin, without these bodily fluids. And, even if the bodily fluids were present on the skin when you touched it, your wound on your finger might have been healed enough, since it’s somewhat dried, to protect you from having an HIV binding to one of your cells, thereby infecting you. So, no. You wouldn’t get HIV infection this way. i treated a fair number of HIV patients in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. i don’t believe a single one of my patients got HIV in that way.

Katt Williams the pimp chronicles pt 1 shirt . First, HIV cannot survive in dried serum. No viable virus would remain to infect you. HIV can only survive in living, human cells. You can generally only be exposed to HIV by coming into intimate contact with another person who has HIV in their blood. One exception is that HIV can survive in liquid blood in the reservoir of an IV syringe. This is why sharing drug works is so risky in terms of acquiring HIV. Otherwise, though, HIV is quite unlike common viruses such as the ones that cause colds and the flu. Those viruses can hang around on surfaces, lurking, waiting to get into your body. To become infected with HIV, you pretty much have to have infected bodily fluids directly introduced into your body.
